MORITA academy: The Importance of CBCT in Implant Surgery

MORITA academy: The Importance of CBCT in Implant Surgery

Indications, preoperative diagnostics, and selection criteria for ideal treatment methods

The cone-beam technology has been indispensable in top-level implant surgery for a long time already, as its development around 20 years ago has led to significant progress and improvements in dental implantology. Usually, the selection criteria for the best surgical treatment method are only available thanks to the preoperative CBCT examination.
Prof. em. Dr. Daniel Buser has been using this technology clinically to an increasing extent since 2005.

Based on clinical cases you will learn in this online webinar how to use the CBCT technology ideally and how its imaging features can influence the selection of the best surgical treatment method significantly.

Educational Objectives
  • Practice-oriented CBCT application areas in implant surgery: Preoperative diagnostics: examination of the patient’s local bone anatomy. Basis for digital technology: implant patients with a need for computer-assisted implant surgery. Tool for clinical studies: implant patients and observation of the achieved surgical results (long-term approach).
  • Using clinical case studies, this webinar describes the above-mentioned application areas in detail. Being the most important indications, the focus is centred on the areas one and two.
  • Additionally, the lecture illuminates the selection criteria for the best treatment method as well as a range of relevant state-of-the-art surgical implant techniques, such as standard implantation protocols, the GBR-technique, or the sinus floor elevation.
  • After the lecture you will have the opportunity for individual questions and for discussions with the speaker as well as colleagues.
