· Windows 11 was made available on October 5th, 2021 and Morita will soon be ready to support Microsoft's latest and greatest operating system.
As many of you are aware, Microsoft has just released its latest operating system, Windows 11, to the general public. It has been available as a free upgrade from Microsoft starting from October 5th, 2021.
At Morita, we are also getting ready to support this new operating system and its exciting new features. Early testing has shown no particular issues and we are confident that our software will support Windows 11 soon.
That said, customer experience is important to us and we want to ensure your Morita computers continue to operate well so that you can remain focussed on delivering the best quality treatment for your patients. As such, we kindly ask you to wait until we officially announce support for Windows 11 before upgrading any computers that contain Morita software.
What about i-Dixel WEB?
i-Dixel WEB does not require any software to be installed on your client computers. We have tested on Windows 11 client computers and i-Dixel WEB is working properly through supported web browsers. i-Dixel WEB software is installed on your Morita server computer which does not support Windows 11 yet but you may connect to that server using Windows 11 PCs. Please contact your local Morita representative to update to i-Dixel WEB version 22.214.171.12459 or later.
What about my Capture and Server Computers?
As these computers are critical to your X-ray device, we do not recommend to upgrade them at this time. Windows 10 will continue to operate just as well as before and will continue to be supported by both Microsoft and Morita.
If it is possible to upgrade your capture or server computers from Windows 10, we will inform the details to our global technical teams who will support you. Until then, please continue to use your Windows 10 computers and rest assured, they will be supported for years to come. Our i-Dixel and i-Dixel WEB software as well as drivers and support tools will continue to receive updates and support on Windows 10 for many years to come.
We have support for Windows 10 now, but for how long?
Windows 10 is here to stay for the long term and Microsoft is committed to providing updates for many more years. Computers supplied by Morita have Windows 10 Long-term Support Editions installed. These versions have extended support until October, 2026.
For more information, see Windows 10 2016 LTSB follows the Fixed Lifecycle Policy.
For computers purchased locally, Windows 10 Pro will be supported until October 2025.
