· Dietzenbach, November 2012 - The Soaric dental treatment unit made by
J. Morita Mfg. Corp. (Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan, Mr. Koji Tsukamoto, president) was award a prize for best design by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion on November 25, 2012 out of a field of 3,132 entrants of which 1,108 won awards. The winners of the Good Design Gold Medal (awarded by the Ministry for Economic and Fiscal Policy) were chosen from the Best 100 Designs and decided at the Good Design Exposition held in late November.
The features that were recognized as outstanding were its comfortable patient interface which minimizes the sterile clinical feel of normal medical equipment, its advanced technical functionality, and its overall human-centered ergonomic design.
