Tooth 21 after accident trauma was so far free of complaints. Compared to a control image taken about 5 years ago, conventional X-rays showed a radiolucent change in the hard tooth structure in the coronal third of the root. With the Veraview X800 M P CBCT images, we disproved the suspected diagnosis of "internal absorption". The typical image of external resorption was shown: the extent of tooth structure destruction with a still intact root canal and perfect apical conditions.Just as impressive, as an incidental finding, is how several side canals can be seen at both tooth 11 and tooth 21.
